NEW TIME FOR 2024
Ride the Rim will have East Rim closed to vehicles from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Shortly after 4:00 pm you will begin seeing traffic on the East Rim, first by volunteers taking down the rest stops, and thereafter by general visitors to the park. We recommend starting your ride as early as possible so that you're not stuck on the East Rim past 4:00 pm. If you plan to ride past 4:00 pm, please come prepared with additional snacks, water, and safety mechanisms and clothing that make you visible to vehicles.
Important Notice: All gates will be open for both days of the RTR unless something changes with the fire near North Gate. We will post any updates or changes. Safe travels to the event! See you all soon!
UPDATE: The fire danger level within Crater Lake National Park has dropped from extreme to high due to recent moisture and predicted cooler temperatures. Effective September 13th.
